MT-O1200 Portable Infrared Oil in Water Analyzer
Application:
This portable infrared oil in water analyzer is used for the determination and detection of petroleum and animal and vegetable oil content in groundwater, surface water, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater, as well as the concentration of cooking fume in the catering industry.
The oil substances in the water are extracted with tetrachloroethylene or CCl4, and the total extract is determined. Then the extract is adsorbed with magnesium silicate. After removing polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils, the petroleum is determined. The content of total extract and petroleum are calculated by the absorbance A2930, A2960 and A3030 at the wave numbers of 2930cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH2 group), 2960cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH3 group) and 3030cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in aromatic ring). The content of animal and vegetable oil is calculated as the difference between the total extract and the content of petroleum. The state promulgated the "Water Quality - Determination of Petroleum and Animal and Vegetable Oils - Infrared Spectrophotometry" (HJ 637-2018) standard, and all performance indicators are at an advanced level.
Features:
